I do want to know now lol ! I have always assumed it was to make automated music, but there was no AI back then x).

the track sounds oddly familiar, but i can't pinpoint an exact game. Is it an AI track somehow ? Like sometimes an AI generated person looks familiar because it's made of famous people picture, but there's not one that you can easily pinpoint. it has some command and conquer 1 or 2 vibes to me. or maybe unreal tournament 2 something that era . i'm asking because i have received tracks from AI that reminded me of it ( at 4:20 + , it's a bit more aggressive earlier)

I mean that track gave a punch to enforce implementing it : ) The track is not AI, it's from "Crusader: No Remorse" (one of the best OST ever for my taste). Just couldn't stand not mentioning that when checked your forum signature with sampler mods : )

sounds sloppy, perhaps -b256 switch would help (that was an oldbuilt ffmpeg btw). alzo, there's the tool to convert crusader tracks to .s3m or .it . I later converted them to .wav via WinAmp 2.75 directadio write-file to PCM WAV as I remember, version is important - tracker music sounds like schit in later ones

It has that typical vibes from the era, the different "instruments" rythm and pattern, i have been exposed to this music genre but not this specific game. I spent a lot of time playing with the programmable speakers but it's not quite up to date with 2.1

The one with lyrics is not my thing at all

I wanted to send mp3 but the forum doesn't let one do , so i just renammed it mp4 , no real conversion was done

Didn't know how you thought it would work exactly and the AI struggled so it automatically starts moving you around when stability inside a certain bandwidth.

So yeah honestly I don't know why its not just part of the game since its so heavily requested. Anyone is free to add their name in the info.json and fix it up for Factorio 2.1 and drop it on the mod portal if you like. Don't worry about crediting blah blah blah. AI made it. Wink wink
