• It's now not possible to switch to the install-mods screen while there are mods pending deletion. (35260)
• Fix constant combinator ignoring item_slot_count prototype change after creation (35201).

• Tweaked map transfer algorithm.

The up and down swinging is gone for me, but the maximum download speed is still pretty exact half of what I can get downloading generally (360 instead of 720kB/s) which is the same issue as in 14.16.

Before 14.17, Factorio showed 500Bps instead of 0Bps, but got stuck at those slow interrupts. I needed to restart the connect like 20 times until i got a lucky run with no errors. Compared to that this update is a great step forward.

For me it says server not responding some seconds, while downloading, over and over again, but loads normal between 400 and 600kbs.

The title row is only visible when you scroll to the top because it scrolls with the mods list. Tested on 0.14.13, had the same behavior.
It might make more sense to keep it static at the top although I don't think this could be considered a bug. It's more of a feature request.

The map upload/download speed is greatly improved, was getting 20kbs before, am now getting 300kbs most of the time.

i have a modded factorio server on an amazon ec2 server and since the update, it takes less time to "ramp up" the download speed and seems to be a little more consistent in terms of speed

My download was very fast. And i had no problems with "bad spikes". Really stable.

Compare with 0.14.14:
Download speed is more stable. At 0.14.14 i got a download speed from 10 B/s to 125 kB/s.
Now i got stable 130kB/s. Great!

Compare with 0.13:
The download speed is more then doubled now. Great! (limited by my internet connection)
No more lag at the Multiplayer. Great too!

Now i daily check this Forum just to know if the stable version of 0.14 is out i love it!

Downloads definitely work a lot better for me, full speed at all times now. I no longer get the fluctuations I used to from before.
