Re: How about adding recycler 2?
Thinking about assemblers, yes from assembler 1 to assembler 2 you get a higher crafting speed, but you also get the ability to incorporate fluids into recipes. How about a recycler 2 that can return fluids?! Secondly, I am not sure about getting less than 25% back... how about a recycler 3 that is ...

Re: Deadlock. Why?
Hi anprs welcome to the forums!
If you hold a train signal in your hand in game, the tracks are coloured so each block is a different colour from adjacent blocks. This is really helpful when you are trying to figure out which blocks are occupied by a train, and hence blocking other trains. If you do ...

Re: Trains waiting in queues for a long time reducing througput
There has been a lot of research done on intersection design ( https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?t=100614 . I use roundabouts like you have, but they are not the greatest for throughput. The bigger issue is congestion. It looks like every train in your network is trying to go to one little ...

Re: [2.0.34] platform carries forward inactivity timer when manually triggering schedule
I was able to reproduce the issue with a much smaller old save file.
To reproduce:
1. Open hub for the Falcon.
It is in Nauvis orbit, not unloading, waiting for a condition to be met.
2. Tell the Falcon to move to the second unloading stop for Nauvis which includes 60 seconds of inactivity.
The ...

[Genhis][2.0.34] platform carries forward inactivity timer when manually triggering schedule
My platform was sitting in orbit processing until it had enough to unload, when I needed to go elsewhere. I manually hit the next stop in the schedule, which is intended to unload processed items. The inactivity condition immediately turned green, rather than waiting for any final processing to be ...

Doesn't need to be fancy, just clearly different between 'filling up' and 'full'.
My first thought would be yellow for filling up and green for full, but make sure it works for colour blind modes.

Re: Removal of the "Use filter" checkbox
I do like the idea of setting a filter automatically turning on use filters.
Some will want removing the last filter to turn off filtering, and won't be happy if they need two clicks to turn it off. (Mind you they could do that by just unchecking the box rather than removing the last filter, but ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
I found that expanding my base on Aquilo took a lot of heat. Expand too much too quickly and the heating towers couldn't keep up, ending with a new power death spiral as the chem plant and inserters providing water for my heat exchangers froze. I found if I limited my expansion to 20 heat pipes at a ...

Re: Removal of the "Use filter" checkbox
I use the 'use filter' checkbox on unfiltered inserters all the time as a speedy hey inserter STOP for a minute. Yes there are many other ways to do this, but this one is fast and not easy to mess up, and I don't have to flip through different tabs to click on say a deconstruction planner to tell ...

Re: [SA] Megabasing on Vulcanus
I love train bases so I have to say I don't find using it on Vulcanus, Fulgora, Gleba, or even Aquilo to be wrong, just challenging. That said, I am not forcing every planet to use the same train grid patterns that I use on Nauvis.
Would you consider a "grid" that is not just same size squares? For ...

Very cool! I used this for dynamically setting the recipe to reprocess asteroid chunks.

[2.0.31] remote view train schedule shows wrong stop
What did you do? Put train into automatic mode.
What happened? The train goes through the schedule as expected, but the wrong stop is highlighted, as if the train was going somewhere else. For example, in the screen shot, the train is going to pick up copper, but the highlight looks as if it is ...
