I literally had to use a train to get to oil, car alone wasn't cutting it.

But Drakken's situation looks even worse !
(Unless there's some free oil spot I am missing ?)


I purposefully don't allow oil in my starting area and I also make it so I can't get to oil unless I have to clear out ...

Thank you. I am going to do it through blueprints before I place the turrets.

I play on crazy biter settings so it would be rather cumbersome to set the priorities after I place the turrets.

Is there a way other than the copy and paste method to set targeting priorities in your turrets?

For instance can you select all turrets in some way?

Feedback wanted on enemies, extreme difficulty, and what is possible in Space Age.

I would please love some input from someone with early access and/or experience in Space Age. I am hoping to avoid hundreds of hours of grueling gameplay to realize I screwed myself from the get go because I didn't understand how the other planets work.

Does increasing game speed disable achievements?

I know that some console commands cancel achievements while others like checking evolution do not.

What I don't know is if changing the game speed cancels them? I would think not, as it will just make playing harder. However, I am in late game with over 48 hours invested and in a stable safe place ...

When did the "expensive" green circuit recipe change?

In my current game, I just noticed my green circuits only cost 8 copper wire instead of the 10 it used to cost to make "expensive" green circuits.

I have no idea when this change was implemented, and my old blueprints still have a 5 copper wire to 1 green circuit ratio.

Looks like I need to do ...

That was my point. Coal liquefaction is "impractical" because it would be much more useful if you didn't need oil to research it.

I will just put out there coal liquefaction technology which requires oil (blue science) to research. Coal liquefaction research should only require red and green (perhaps black) science to discover so you can bridge your way to oil if it is not nearby.

Thank you for the reply! I have to be particularly careful not to build near biter bases in my deathworld marathon game as the outposts constantly trigger the biters in the bases and those free biters are eating up my ammo supply so much so I need to go back and try it again.

I know that pollution is absorbed by nests and used to create biters/spitters so they can attack the source of pollution.

However, if you kill the bugs around a nest, even in an area where there is no pollution those biters and spitters seem to still respawn to defend the nest.

I remember the other thread. I didn't mean for this thread to rehash those old discussions. In reality, I just wanted to find the marathon costs.

I ended up beating the map with the 600% frequency of biter bases. So... now I have reduced the starting area to the minimum 17% size. It sounds extreme ...
