Re: Friday Facts #444 - 2.1 Experimental release
Why do I feel like the real complaint is not lack of communication, but that this is the end of new features for Factorio?
Every Game will inevitably reach the point where the design is locked in, due to needing to keep old stuff working as is, which will force any developer into a corner where ...

Re: Friday Facts #444 - 2.1 Experimental release
Think about me what you want, call me a noob because i was pro-casino, call me a cheater because i think the concrete changes are one of the most ludicrous changes imaginable, call me what ever you want, i could not care less. What i care about is a Game i put the majority of my free time in over ...

I dont spread any misinformation, i clearly say this is my opinion/conclusion of what is going on right now, if that wasnt clear im doing it now! So tell me then why didnt we get that recycler mod earlier, why dont let the people disable quality, when they asked for it 1.5 years ago, why ...

Re: Too many last minute changes
What changes do you believe were last minute and or what changes do you think are buggy and will need fixing?
I don't have any specific bugs right now.
So this is basically speculative complaining?
there are already examples of this, in game rn, the hub hp and res. buffs are a last ...

Re: Version 2.1.7
Im not a math person tbh, but isnt shared_probability for scrap recycling a huge nerf to fulgora scrap yield in general? in 2.0 you would roll on each item individually meaning 20% the time you would get gears etc... but you also could had a 1% to get holmium ore on that same piece of scrap, now ...

Re: Too many last minute changes
Wube held back changes they could have and should have released a long time ago in order to buy goodwill and distract from the fact they they aren't fixing/improving other parts of the game because they don't want to work on Factorio any more.
this is the feeling i get from 2.1 so far, i hope ...

Re: Too many last minute changes
In my opinion, the "last minute changes" are mostly things not mentioned in FFF:
- Basic asteroid crushing change
- Hazard concrete change
- Railgun shooting speed change
- etc.
Since there wasn't an announcement in the previous FFF, I expected there will be another FFF before beta release ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
This patch is more or less prove that the developers are more or less totally disconnected from the players, the ignorance of the real issues with the quality mod and the half hearted buff to trains are testament to this, calming concrete recycle times work as indented, then double down on this with ...

[space-age] Increased asteroid crushing asteroid chunk yield from 20% to 30%.
[space-age] Increased advanced asteroid crushing asteroid chunk yield from 5% to 10%.

I think you mean "Fixed asteroid chunks were now ...

[2.1.7] Asteroid return does not scale with prod
The return rate of asteroids do not scale with prod, would like to know if that is part of the casino nerf or indeed a bug atm, thanks

Re: Version 2.1.7
They basically locked everyone at 10 levels of research, no? I don't think this hurts as many ships as you think.
5 levels for the basic crushing recipe, 10 for the advanced one. If you consider productivity modules it's even less.
11 for basic crushing.
Old numbers, with 160 ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
Anyway, people actualy can play however they want. Play in sandbox, use mods, use /c, copy others' blueprints. There are so many options to "play how you want". There is already a mod ready for 2.1 to enable Quality Modules.
appropriate for how powerful they are.
I want to play with casinos in ...

Re: Friday Facts #442 - Flip, Flow, and Fresh Paint
I have to admit here that i totaly overlooked the true gist of this, space casinos are remainig in game basicly 1:1 in the game like they did before, and thats the reason they keep the lds shuffle, with the difference now it tied to prod research, you now slowly research the prod for the ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
That being said, the idea of not allowing it because "thats not how the game was intended to be played" seems like absolute nonsense. If people dont want to do it, they wont do it. People like me, never cared enough to even try it. People who think its cheating won't do it. Also, its not exactly ...
