Could be related to a hardware problem, for example, a failing hard drive. Check sudo dmesg for errors.
Also, could be RAM running out, swapping to hard drive. Check free -m .

Re: Updating Mods from 1.1 to 2.0
Hello everyone,
I have little programming experience and some essential mods have not been updated for 2.0. How difficult would it be for me to update these mods myself for use?
If you have little programming experience, then most likely it will be impossible for you to upgrade the mods you're ...

I've had the same theory but i couldn't see anything in the event viewer, so, where could i look for come clues as to what might be doing it?

Also verify GPU functionality with some gaming or ...

Reinstall Windows. Or install Linux Mint (20mins).
That's probably easier than trying to debug this for days on end.

ok to end this tale of woe a happy ending, I had my hdmi cable in the motherboard instead of my graphics card.
I'm not a hardwary techy person obviously, but sticking my stupid cable in the right stupid hole solved my issue of not using the right graphics card, go figure.
I was on my ...

True :D Sometimes, valorant crashes, but thats not just me, so I take it as a feature. Many times its their vgk.sys process that gives me BSOD
Still, this could be your CPU being faulty. Riotgames have an article about this:

You should have zero crashes, even one is unacceptable. Does any other software crash? If you idle PC overnight, does it ever crash?

I don't know about Unreal Engine 5 shader compilation and if it's free and available, never tried it. Probably worth checking out.
But while you are at it, maybe try Memtest86+ as well. Just to make sure your memory is stable. You can download it and flash into a USB, link: https://memtest.org/

Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
I had crashes almost from start (PC is 2y old) but only in Cyberpunk. As of last month or so factorio started to crash once a week maybe, last two weeks crashing became more often so I reinstalled whole windows and this week I am crashing within 1 or 2 hours of playing.
How do I check my CPU ...

I have Bios up to date. Well there is 9 days old beta version of new bios so I can try that.?

Re: Lost all blueprints after PC crash. What to backup and when?
Why did it crash? Why your files got corrupted? You sure your hardware is sound? When did you stress tested it the last time?
Check Windows' Event Viewer, System tab, for hardware errors, especially storage.

Thanks for the report. Unfortunately, I haven't the foggiest clue as to what could be causing this. I am tempted to blame GPU drivers.
Do you have the capability to test on a more bleeding-edge distro such as Fedora or Arch?

Re: headless server linux can't connect from outside
Firstly, try to connect from another machine in your LAN. From client machine, type your LAN IP to connect, not 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1. That way, you will know if factorio server is listening properly, and if Manjaro firewall etc. is not messing with it.
Once verified, you can attempt to open a ...
