Has anyone ever run out of 20M scrap field? I am finishing off small scrap fields with 100-200k, and next will be 20 million one. I think it will last for a long time :D
Regarding balancing scrap recycling process, I am first boxing items away and separate them, and then if there is any excess of ...

Re: [2.0.42] Massive freezes every 10-20 seconds
A lot of stuff seems off, the update rate is low while the update time is consistently less than 1ms. No idea how to make sense of those values, I'd check temperatures.
I think it's just skewed by one or a couple really slow frames
Ryzen 7 7800X3D with RTX 3080 shouldn't have any slow ...

Also run some common benchmarks or other games, to verify if your hardware results matches expected performance.

Llvmpipe in name of your file tells me right away that you may be using software rendering, instead of GPU acceleration. You need to ensure you have proper driver installed and GPU acceleration enabled first.

Re: [2.0.42] Crash loading all saves: "Corrupt map: unknown quality prototype ID 65"
It would be nice if game kept an incremental save for example every X hours (configurable in options). As it seems that people are not making any manual saves, at least not regularly.
That's an extended autosave. Fills smaller laptop disks easily with bigger maps, difficult to manage for the ...

I never plan anything. It's a sandbox game after all, not paper RPG.

Try running Prime95 also. This one targets CPU.

If you don't like video format, sorry...
Indeed, I don't.
If you have written sources, or transcripts of the videos, I'm happy to read 'em.
Sadly I don't, this video is 4 years old, and it stood the test of time. Since then, there has been most likely another thousand written articles ...

Re: Solved already, but Factorio successfully identified that I had failing hardware (Linux)
I fully agree! ECC RAM is a great investment for reliability. I use it in both my home server and desktop workstation. I learned a hard lesson when I had failing RAM sticks that were extremely difficult to diagnose, causing infrequent instability and silent data corruption for months. Since then, I ...

I was also curious about that. Musk certainly strikes me as being on the spectrum, and I'm unsurprised if he claimed this. However, now that he's cosying up to the right, perhaps he wants ...

How many rocket turrets you have in the front? 1? I can only see 1 from the screenshot. It may not be enough to destroy medium chunks if you are travelling at high speed.

IDK, have not run modern Intel CPU for long time. If yours is older and not affected, that's good.
Yes Prime95 for prime numbers is very good to saturate CPU completely and make sure it's stable. Check temps while you run it.
