Hi,
the mod says, it's not a bug, it's an idea, so I write it here again.
What:
When I place an inserter, it grabs immediately an item. In my case, often it's a wrong one and I have to delete the inserter to get rid of the wrong item.
Solution:
Let the inserter not grab immediately things. OR ...

Orgasm: crushed stone -> mineral sludge. Use it for special ores or anything?
Hi,
well, I went to hell with all that crushed stone, there was so much I didn't know where to put it in. Felt like a mayor who declines to get a nuclear waste area down the earth: "Not at my place, guys!"
Then I found out about Mineral Sludge - uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh babyyyyyyyyyyyy yeeeeessssssssss ...

Re: I am stuck with chaotic inventory. How do you play this game?
Ok, the first phrase is also my approach. I didn't find it useful, some furnaces are already full of coal, or they accept Carbon only. I find myself spending too much time on running around to get trash out of my inventory. :-.(
Okay, I will have a deeper look into the quickbar. Thx

Products at place A, B, C. I wanna build sth -> run to A, B, C - is that part of gameplay?
Hi,
having so many belts and product chains, I am wondering about this simple thing: isn't there a center, where all stuff can go to? And when I want to build an updated building, or anything else I need this, this and that, I just go to ONE place and pick it up to build it.

I am stuck with chaotic inventory. How do you play this game?
Hi,
when building belts I often find errors, I am a beginner, learning that game, which is fun!
But when there are already items on the belt, I get them in my inventory. I don't like that. It's chaotic with ores, products, things I don't need and I get headache searching for stuff I actually ...

Tighter GUI: smaller titles, smaller frames/bounding boxes
Hi,
I'd like to suggest to make the main title fonts smaller (like "inventory") as well as the frames/ bounding boxes.
Why: These windows are always in the center, hiding everything behind. As a beginner I often find myself re-looking again, what was needed in that building - oh wait but this ...

Inserter: not grab item and let it fall when changing direction.
Hi,
when I place an inserter, it automatically grabs items around, which might make sense. But for any newbies this becomes annoying: Placing in wrong direction (newbie!), inserter grabs already anything, now changing the direction lead inserter to let item fall on ground.
Inserters are the main ...

Re: 1.0.0 (MAC) CPU or GPU causing bad performance?
Hi, yesterday I made four screenshots showing crowded base/ not crowded base/ train.
The framerate is dropping everywhere but not like I would expect: always in crowded areas, far more less in just some-buildings-areas.

Inventory/ GUI not open up in the center of the screen
Hi,
being a beginner, I am forced to open and close the inventory all the time. The learning process for every newbie.
It would be a great help, if the Inventory/ the GUI is not popping up in the center always! I cannot see anymore whats behind.
The window could be opened always in the upper/lower ...

for me as a beginner the tech tree is overwhelming and often frustrating when I feel lost.
There is a search engine, yes, but do I have all names in my mind: no, like every beginner.
So it would be a huge help to me - and others too, sure - what Oscar wrote.

Adjusting an inserter the wrong way let it pick up immediately sth. if it's the wrong item it blocks the whole chain.
Till today I have to delete the inserter just to get rid of the item in his "hands".
Hovering and pressing F would be an intuitive solution, too.

Wait, I was talking about the regular map, not minimap.
Anyway, I feel it is quite an issue since driving south shouldn't be connected with difficulties that are not present while driving north.
I totally agree! In the DEMO I soon realized I am much more effective attacking bugs when I ...

I agree. I don't find the UI ideal. There are so many items and more times I repeat clicking on them.
If I understand the thread starter right with his photoshop example, this would be a really good feature to me too.

Hi,
Factorio is smooth since 15-20h. On the next day, the performance in a certain area went down (science laboratories).
After restarting the game, this area shifted to another place. Hm, why that? What happened?
