Failed to load save from different computer

Post by phyxion »

Playing the Windows, non-steam version, 0.17.74 (from autoupdate), with mods. Worked on my base over the weekend, saved this morning and copied the save (actually the entire game folder) to portable disk, brought with me to work to let it catch up on bot build tasks. Failed to load current save (msg below, log attached), and all 3 autosaves are apparently invalid zip files. Checked the control.lua file in Wordpad and didn't see anything weird. Home machine is Win10, work machine is Win7. Save file is about 22mb.

29.449 Error AppManagerStates.cpp:1443: ...Desktop/Factorio_0.17/temp/currently-playing/control.lua:1: __core__/lualib/event_handler.lua:1: unexpected symbol near '0.000'
stack traceback:
[C]: in function 'require'
...Desktop/Factorio_0.17/temp/currently-playing/control.lua:1: in main chunk
45.939 Quitting: user-quit.

Downloaded fresh 0.17.74 from website, unzipped and loaded this save, no error. Synced mods and loaded save again, no error.

Looks like this may be related to the copying of files back and forth, not sure if the thumb drive is failing or what. Disregard, I guess?
