[Bilka] [0.17.36] Error when respawning after dying in first tutorial

Post by m4rien0 »

After going into my first battle ever in this game I (who would’ve thought) heroically died. I then tried to reload the save by pressing “Continue” – or in other words, I wanted to respawn.

The dialog opened with the respawn counter and as it reached 0 seconds instead of respawning the following error message occurred:
Respawn_Error.PNG
Respawn_Error.PNG (203.33 KiB) Viewed 917 times
Pressing "Confirm" in this dialog sends me back to the Factorio titlescreen.

I reproduced the error in all of the 3 attached save-files; All it needs is some suicidal action and you’ll run into the said error.

[EDIT]: This error occurred during the first level of the tutorial/campaign after Compilatron got bugged after evacuating east (which already has been reported) and continuing to play freely on this map without the mission instructions.

Error message:

Error while running event level::on_player_respawned (ID 42)
__base__/lualib/npe/scenario-events.lua:60: attempt to index a nil value
stack traceback:
__base__/lualib/npe/scenario-events.lua:60: in function '?'
__base__/lualib/event_handler.lua:7: in function <__base__/lualib/event_handler.lua:4>
