[17.x] Retina macbook pro crashes on startup

[17.x] Retina macbook pro crashes on startup

I tried the 17.5 and 17.4, rebooted too. I'm on a 2012 rMbp. Maybe the issue is i'm on OSX 10.12.6? 16.x works great.
