I believe it is related to the base being to big and the computer can't keep up.
We will need more information, including a screenshot with "show-time-usage"

I can only speak for myself, but I'm entirely not sure what you mean. You linked a 3+ hour video, and the few seconds I saw of it seemed fine...
Maybe try to make a short video only showing the problem, and specify where exactly it is noticeable?

Seriously, why do people continue to use `.rar` when there are things that are both far better and 100% free? To note, the archive provided not only has the entire save directory (and none of the required mods), but also has very little actual compression.

Could you post your log file as well? Also - what GPU / how much VRAM do you have?
If the stutters occur when moving I guess they may be related to swapping atlas textures in/out of VRAM. You can try reducing GFX quality or lowering the Texture Atlas size, or maybe disabling the specialized atlases.

By the look of it it's the size of the base. At this size things like train pathfinder could create some performance spikes. Providing the save could help us. It might also be related to the server or to network lag spikes so try this in single player.
Also having other debug options(such as active state and active chunks) on is highly not recommended since they are not optimized at all.

Well for some part i must a agree with the poster.
Since some version of 0.15.x series i have the same issue as the poster. Since then i have turned v-sync off. (With all older versions, 12/13/14 i have played with v-sync on)

Does OP or anybody else who experiences this use multiple monitors on a GeForce card? I noticed that OP is a Twitch streamer, so multiple monitors seems likely.
I may or may not be experiencing the same problem:
Most of the time, Factorio runs fine. I can play for 10+ hours with a very large base in a very large world without any hiccups whatsoever. But if I close the game and wait some arbitrarily long time (6+ hours to days) without rebooting, then the next time I start Factorio it stutters constantly -- like every 3 frames. Even in a completely new game with all mods disabled. I never experienced this in 0.14. I haven't fully diagnosed it yet, but I've found a couple things I can do that fix it:
- I use 3 monitors. Center one is a gsync monitor running at 144Hz, other 2 run at 60Hz, and I play on the center monitor in fullscreen windowed mode with gsync on
- I likely installed a new Geforce driver at some point since 0.15 came out
- Only Factorio has this problem
- I'm on the Factorio beta branch via Steam and have been experiencing this for probably a month or longer (guessing)
Good chance GeForce driver is to blame, though I don't know why it only affects Factorio. I see no problems in the other games I play. GSync and/or refresh rate may also play a role.
Since it takes an arbitrarily very long time to reproduce, it's difficult to try things like other drivers and be certain about the results. If I get some time, I'll see if I can find a way to make it happen faster.

I just realized I never tried disabling high quality graphics when it happens. I'll give that a shot next time for sure. Maybe there's some kind of VRAM management bug...

Well, I managed to get back into the state again once and noticed a few things:
- - Changing quality settings in Factorio had no effect
- Disabling just the left monitor had no effect
- Disabling GSync on the primary monitor decreased the stuttering, but did not remove it completely
- Switching primary monitor to 60Hz (with GSync) fixed the problem, but it returned when I switched back to 144Hz
- "Loading Map" progress bar stutters a bit when I'm in this state too
- I think I noticed some minor stuttering when I played a YouTube video on the right monitor while also loading Factorio

Yes, This game spoils the eyesight But I use G-Sync gaming Monitor which helps to see the clear pictures. I like this game and G-Sync Monitor helps me to play my favorite game easily.
