Mismatch of liquid levels in the fluid tank and in the circuit network

Post by Hagaret »

Fluid tank contains 25000 units, but circuit network shows that tank contains only 24999 units, such mismatch breaks my logic system. Pump is online but it can't fill fluid tank more than 25000.

Would ">= 24990" work just as well?

You can see that the tank is not exactly full in the tooltip too

I think you are confused by the fact that fluid can have quantity like 24999.999998 but the game will not show this. It can either show 25K in tooltips when it's rounded or 24999 for circuits when it's truncated.

If you really want to have 25000 fluid in a tank, you need a pump i think to pressure it.

Nope, on practicing the best option in my case is A not equal to 25000

I reused this design 20 times in differen places. Most of the times there's no such mismatch and fluid tank filling properly using other 2 tanks as source through working pump. But for some reason at unknown moment fluid tank starts lying about fluid level. And there's already a working pump with 2 extra tanks with fluid, so you suggested things that already there.

What i should have asked first is :

Which version of the game are you using ?

I could suggest you add pump on each side of the tank from which you want to precisely control
But depending on game version you are using, maybe it make no sense. I should have asked game version earlier sorry

That's the newest version of the game. So I could add new pump, but I don't like the fact that pump contains some fluid inside of it and network can't count it. So untill the fluid inside of pump won't be consumed-whole system won't start until then. In my case on short distance I shouldn't face such issues.

Also there's already a pump in that system, which works just fine and flow rate is 0, so there's no any other part of system with no fluid after the main fluid tank.

The number would help, if a dev read this and other versions have been released in between, wether it's the [stable] or [experimental], there's this guide in case : 3638

I'm not even guarateeing that pump at both side would change the way fluid fill or fail to fill completely a tank. Had you used an older version of the game, i could have explained why it was never filling up but for the newer one i'm not sure, since things have changed and are being worked on, the version number is important.

I tried the same solution with fluid level not equal 24999 or 25000. And the whole system starts works inneproperly and inefficient. So I still need the rework of that count system in fluid tank made by devs.

The whole issue is not about inaccurate values. There's a working pump that can't fill that last 1 unit of fluid, have no idea why.

I thought that my problems were caused by these inaccurate values, but I can make a new topic about the pump specifically, just in case.

The circuit values are the accurate ones ignoring the rounding to full integers, so I doubt the pumps condition is evaluated incorrectly. If you make a new report, make sure to post the save file.
