I found this bug a while back, but didn't quite manage to reliably reproduce it until now.
When deconstructing the exit of an underground belt using bots, the contents of the entrance disappear.
It does not matter if you are in remote view while doing that or using personal bots.
Deconstructing the exit manually without bots does not delete the items stored in the entrance of the underground belt.
I hope you find use in this report and the save file, as well as the clip of me reproducing it.

Re: [2.0.21] items disappearing from underground entrace
So I looked at this a bit and what seems to be happening is slightly different (and perhaps more complicated): when either end of an underground belt is mined by hand, the contents of the underground portion are inserted in the player's inventory. However, when deconstructed by bots, the contents of the underground portion are only removed if the entrance is deconstructed, not the exit. (This may or may not be intentional.)
A side effect of this is that items which may be visible in the entrance move into the underground section when the exit is deconstructed.
