"Finaly. The friday facts are served." Says the head of programming department with a proud expression in his face: https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-78

The pictures look so good! Glad to hear we're getting close to 0.12!

Also, I think hearing of the Factorio guys playing KSP is probably the best thing ever. Kerbal-rocketry-inspired factories is something I totally support.

Where can i buy the material library balls???
i need the 3.2 (shiny, remids me dragon ball z  ), 9.1 and 9.5 (i bet they glow in the dark), 7.4 (glass-like? ) and of course 9.6 ;)

and if you go kerbal-way then of course 7.6 because explosions!

BTW, the numbers are coordinates, 1.1 is the first row first column and 9.6 the factorio logo.

please make them a thing :D :D

I can't wait. I'm really happy scripts will break meaning mods will break so I have to force my self at least one good vanilla game before adding new content ;)

I hope the new launch platform or the rocket is something really expensive. Not sure how you guys at this moment feel about the cost of RD but to me it should be worth 100 RD's but then again that is me :)

Combinator sounds awesome! Will it be able to interact with train signals? I would love something that makes proper junctions viable!

Also getting very pumped for 0.12!

Will the new command line interface also give us the "--headless" option? :)

EDIT: Oh yes, the's the great logic update at the end of that 0.11 tunnel. Oh yes.

Great one. I'm really looking forward to the circuit extension and the endgame-content that was announced a few weeks ago.

Fun Fact: I was travelling by train lately. Whenever arriving at a station, I was always looking for the fast inserters that would grab the passengers and throw them on a conveyor belt :D

I bet you had great fun while writing that, did you? :D
Albert is trying to achieve a standard system for the graphics department in order to keep consistency. When Albert asked himself: "How many times did I create a gear wheel?" He had to answer that it was thousands of times. The logical conclusion is to make a library of the commonly used objects and shapes to be used as a base when creating or adjusting the models. "This not only helps to keep consistency, but saves us a lot of time when designing new objects." says Albert the head of the graphics department in Wube software. "Another logical continuation is to make standard set of materials used for everything" Albert continues his explanation with a content smile on his face.

Hm. "Colonist-in-stasis" could be a cool new item. :)
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Yes :) I'm not sure if people get these kind of "head of the department" jokes we do :)

Your department heads seem to know what they are doing though. I am astounded every time you get a risky development decision past your board of directors. But I guess the fight is worth it in the end!

Maybe go indie at some point? :P

I love the bright red hot material, as well as the weird blue-ish shiny one, also fluorescent green and the bits of metal around a molten core (?). Wonder if any of them are currently used in the game.

What're the bits of fluffy stuff around the stand, though?
