So when structures are placed close to each other, and healthbars are placed in the background it looks like this:
I suggest that all healthbars are placed in front of structures!

Yeah, I think Health bars should be drawn on the top most layer under the GUI, so it apears on top of all other entities.

There is a place for useful info that looks ugly. It is called ALT mode.

how about showing the damage and not making it look ugly?
When walls get damaged they have more wear Visually and no health-bar at all (we don't get to see them anyway most of the time)
