Re: Option for shift-click with blueprints to build around trees and other unreplaceable natural features
I also like to keep my trees. My workaround is to just not destroy individual trees when I am placing a blueprint and building by hand. I'll clear the demolish request and reposition the few items that need to move.
But I find that keeping trees becomes irrelevant/impossible pretty quickly when a legit forest is in my way. I don't see how a blueprint could go around trees in a forest. Even if the belts and pipes could underground, the buildings would not fit.

Well okay, it is more often me wanting to preserve individual trees. I have certainly had to build my factory through some dense forests and cut them down, but I like to keep a few of the prettier trees around. I also do the place a blueprint and clear the request thing, but my construction robots move pretty quickly, so I don't always get to it in time.wizcreations wrote: Sun Aug 30, 2026 10:48 pm I also like to keep my trees.
