[2.1.14] Beacon effect graph drawing out of widget bounds

Post by Powerscooter »

2.1? Added the ability for beacon profiles to have negative effects. When viewing beacons with negative effects, the graph bleeds into other UI elements.

The base game beacons have a profile of {1,0.7071,...}, matching 1/sqrt(n), this is displayed correctly in the UI since all numbers are positive.
Adding any negative numbers into the beacon profile correctly reverses modules effects in game but looks quite silly in the UI, attached examples with {1,-0.1}

and the same with more quality tiers:

Allowing for negative effects in beacon profiles allows for very fun mechanics and I hope it stays/ wasn't added in error.

Thanks a lot!

Can you give an example mod that makes this happen?

It happens with Ribbonias "basic beacon" in versions past 2.1. https://mods.factorio.com/mod/ribbonia
That said when I found it I made a mod to test the effect that doesn't require space age or other mods, it just edits the base game beacons profile. Just uploaded it: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/beacons_UI
