[2.1.11] Space Platforms ignore circuit conditions

Post by Squelch »

linux64 standalone
Mods - None

Reproduction

Using the attached savegame that was built in a sandbox.
  1. The travel itinerary conditions are shown below. Signal 'B' is enabled via the constant combinator (bottom right of Hub) Note: Signal 'B' is present on the Red circuit shown at power pole adjacent to constant combinator. There is also a Display Panel situated at the front of the ship to indicate the signal 'B' status.

  2. Add a new circuit condition for either or both fuel tanks for an amount greater than 50% (12500) Note: Tanks are already full and should satisfy this condition.
  3. Alternative signal input should be provided by a Radar with 'Universe' channel set. This can be found bottom right of ship with an accompanying constant combinator. Once enabled, the signal will be received by the corresponding Radar positioned at the nose of the ship. The status of signal 'B' on the network is also shown on the Display Panel.
  4. By changing both ship Radars to 'Surface', the lack of received signal at the Hub can be demonstrated.
  5. There are also Radars placed on Nauvis and Vulcanus surfaces with accompanying constant combinators and display set to the same universe channel.

    Expected

Selected and set circuit conditions that have been satisfied to show as green in the Platform's Hub UI, and travel to commence once all qualifying conditions have been met.

    Observed

Circuit conditions in a Space Platform's itinerary never seem to be met either via direct input via a constant combinator, abstracted from a circuit network, nor from a Radar signal for surface and universe.

Conditions such as item count, time passed etc, all continue to work as expected, highlighted green when satisfied, and travel commences correctly when all are met.

The same circuit condition signals are observed to be received on both planet surfaces.

The same circuit condition situation is also present in interrupts. ie all other conditions work except for circuit conditions.

No apparent errors logged. See attached.

"Send to platform" is unchecked.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the sanity check, but that is not it.
The first repro step specifically uses a direct input from a constant combinator on and within the platform's network. The same is true for the fuel amount check.

This has been moved to the "Not a bug" section, but I'm at a loss as to why. Fuel checks, specifically, have worked in the past, and a circuit is the only means of measurement. I maintain that this indeed a bug as no circuit input is recognized on space platforms now.

The Default for this checkbox is in fact "On"; why have you toggled it Off?

Oh my...

I must have looked at the problem for far too many hours and still missed that checkbox. I've somehow been interpreting it as part of the recent inter platform cargo enhancement.

Thank you.

[Edit to add]

This ship was just something I had in my Blueprints Library and used for expediency and indeed 'Send to Platform' was turned off in the blueprint. I suspect I may have grandfathered the same setting from another BP in my full game.

And I somehow thought I was not explaining it well enough.

Glad you got it working!

You did, so thanks again for the effort.

As a follow up for the search engine and others that fall for this:

It might seem that leaving the hub intact as an anchor in partial ship blueprints is a good idea, and while it is the only means of copy/pasting itineraries and conditions, other settings such as 'Send to Platform' may get overlooked as having changed too.
