they dosn't seem to be a demolisher in the Vulcanus starting area
FIXE:
Spawn a demolisher under the first falling space capsule to kill it and properly clear that area.

I've heard the meme, but I'm pretty sure this simply doesn't work with the game mechanics: capsules don't do enough damage to do more than scratch a demolisher.
And... it's impact damage, right? Demolishers are actually 100% immune. So if you pull a demolisher to the start and drop a capsule on it, you won't even scratch it.

I suppose the alternative should be used then. a demolisher corpse trail should be in the starting area instead. cause of death, unknown.

This change would completely cheapen the “boss fight” challenge of the first Demolisher fight by giving the player a free source of Tungsten Ore, necessary to unlock Tungsten Carbide and further Vulcanus technologies.

But you already get Tungsten Ore from big rocks? Big Rocks yield 3-15 Tungsten Ore.
Small Demolisher corpses yield 5-16 Tungsten Ore per segment; a much more useful & concentrated deposit.

I suppose you could reduce how many big rocks were in the starting area to compensate.
but, well, you still only have so much before you have to go find a real deposit.

I had a chuckle, it's a funny idea, I'll give you that.
It could even work as a little cinematic intro to the planet without triggering the achievements.

I can tell you with near certainty that if you include a comedy intro showing a capsule killing a demolisher, you will have people upset that you can't kill demolishers with capsules in-game. A mix of people who know ahead of time that it's fake and are upset about breaking immersion and spoiling the tension for a cheap gag, people who don't know ahead of time and are upset that when they acutally try to kill demolishers with capsules that it doesn't work, and people who demand that the game be modified so that you do have an easy way to kill demolishers.
