Load the game with this debug mod. I also loaded the Quality mod to have some other recycling recipes around for comparison.
I created a recipe which uses a custom crafting category which I've added to the "factoriopedia_recycling_recipe_categories" utility constant, but the bug occurs even if I use the "recycling" category.
This recipe lets you handcraft 1 Iron gear wheel into 1 Iron plate: (it's in "intermediate-product" if you're looking for it)
Open the Factoriopedia page for "Iron gear wheel" and look at the recipes which use it as an ingredient. "Iron gear wheel disassembly" is not classed under "Recycling recipes".
If you make the recipe "hidden_in_factoriopedia" by uncommenting Line 27 of the debug mod's data.lua, it will now show as a Recycling recipe. (Using just "hidden" works as well.)
I'll note that "Scrap recycling" in Space Age is non-hidden and shows under "Used in" on Scrap's Factoriopedia page.
I'll also note that in order to show up as a "Recycling recipe", it must contain at least one item ingredient, so I can never have a fluid recycling recipe show up in this way.
I'm not sure if this is all intended behaviour, but it does seem counter-intuitive that the proper way to have a recycling recipe appear in Factoriopedia is to hide it from Factoriopedia. I was hoping to have my recycling recipes be browsable.
[2.0.73] Recipe is not considered a Recycling Recipe unless hidden in Factoriopedia
Re: [2.0.73] Recipe is not considered a Recycling Recipe unless hidden in Factoriopedia
Thanks for the report however i am considering current behavior to be correct: to show under "recycling" section, recipe must have a recipe category listed under factoriopedia_recycling_recipe_categories utility constant AND be hidden in factoriopedia. Without first condition, unrelated recipes that are hidden would be showing as recycling making mod compatibility annoying, and without second condition recipes usable directly would be duplicated in the list of recipes, showing both under "used in" list and "recycling recipes" list. Because of that i am considering this to be a Not a bug. If you believe that a non hidden recipe with recycling category should show under "recycling recipe" and be excluded from "used in" list, then thats a topic for "ideas and suggestions".
Only part that i noticed as suspicious is incorrect handling of fluid recycling recipes, which i will have to fix. Once thats done i will move this report to appropriate category.
