I was using version 1.x for a while on the same machine, but after downloading 2.0.72 Space Age, can't get it to launch.
I'm running macOS 11.7.10 (the latest macOS version supported on this old machine). Hardware information is below:

Same problem but I confirm: forcing OpenGL is a workaround. Does it mean acceleration is disabled?
