As an alternative for the 0. something to get seeds, the fruids, if left to spoil, will give 100% seeds.
And just to adress anyone who has a complain that this ruins how to start gleba like a masochis (no one likes the spoilage except for people who want a challange), this could be an unlockeble research. Plus, 100% no seeds from assemble. As in, if you craft the fruids in an assemble (aka new recepy that looks exactly like the current one), there will be NO seed. This will make anyone who is new on Gleba, realise that ok, how do i get seeds? Check the wiki, and find out what they actually need to use to get seeds.
Meaning that in return for not getting the 50% productivity bonus, there will be no gambling involved regarding getting extra seeds that you might or might not need.
And, as mentioned, the ideea is that the fruids, when spoiled, will 100% give the seeds.
Oh and dear devs, being forced to use a certain assemble because otherwise there is an issue of not having enough seeds AS WELL AS needing to get an item via %, are not fun except for prople who like challanges and whatever else.
This balances out the bad part of Gleba without removing what already it has.
Also if spoiled fruids = seeds is to much of a game breaking balance breaker, then once again, how about adding a new tehnology, that adds a recepy of extracting the seeds 100%, no gambling, from fruids, and also gives spoilge as a byproduct or something since aparently you can't have anything good on gleba unless there is some kind of issue
Tick box: Fruid spoiled = soilage and seed

Seems like there's already a mod which, while it doesn't do exactly the same thing you suggest, might remove the indeterminism from seed production like you want:

So you want spoiled fruits to give 100% seeds but the normal processing remains at the same 2% seeds right?Green Cat wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 8:30 pm As an alternative for the 0. something to get seeds, the fruids, if left to spoil, will give 100% seeds.

Makes little difference you end up burning seeds anyway and making nutrients just to let them spoil to get spoilage just gives you loads more seeds.
At least you can burn them for energy so dont change that

Re: Tick box: Fruid spoiled = soilage and seed
The seeds are in fact very useful. A way to mass-produce seeds leads to a way to practically upcycle fruits in large quantities without worrying about seed depletion. That could be an enabler of Gleba quality mass production due to the high bandwidth of fruit recycling.Shadowhawk wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 9:40 am So you want spoiled fruits to give 100% seeds but the normal processing remains at the same 2% seeds right?

It can also increase the scale of biter eggs packaging by removing the seed limitation from soil production.

No need for that you can already upcycle quite well on gleba.h.q.droid wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 10:06 amThe seeds are in fact very useful. Fruit processing gives 20% chance. ( im using Tier2 quality modules as they are easy to mass produce on gleba )
Biofulux gives 20% chance.
Bacteria cultivation gives 20% chance.
Smelting gives 10% chance.
If you start making green chips the term uncommon becomes rather fitting as rare becomes more common then uncommon.
You already mass produce seeds just by processing fruits. I normally make the soils just so i can place towers in neat rows. Its not like you lack seeds for overgrown soils anyway. You run out of spoilage first.
You can just upcycle the yelly in mash this way and if you get normal quality yelly and mash you can just burn them.
My problem with it atm is, what to make with the stuff. And a bit of a balance thing where i have way more copper then i need. But thats just a mather changing the number of biochambers for copper and iron.
Still what to make with the stuff.
