Merging mods into vanilla game?

Post by artemonster »

Hi,

I haven't bought the game yet, but surely planning to do so. I've watched a LOT of letsplays and the only thing that stops me from playing the game myself is the absence of some "vital" (pure subjective opinion here) things for the endgame, like:
  • bigger train wagons/oil tanker wagon
  • semi-automatic rail laying system (locomotive)
  • the ability for a modular armor to host construction bots - this is a very important. The late game should not be about local time-wasting managment anymore - it should scale accordingly. The deconstruction of some things in the late game can take a lot of the time, and setting up roboports just for 1 deconstruction is not a good idea, especially if you are deconstructing far outposts, or similar things.
  • ability to "green" and reduce the pollution levels in the area
Now, everything (I think so?) of above listed is implemented in mods, as far as I understand. The thing is... I damn hate mods. And it's backed up: mods remove a consistency feeling out of the game's local "universe", they have poor quality control, the bring a lot of bugs and compatibility issues and many many other reasons NOT to play heavily modded game (oh, please, I hope I am not the only one). Especially the ones that add complexity via variety - "Oh, lets play a game with 350 types of ore just for no reason at all."
My main question is:
Is there a chance that we can see any of successful ideas from the mods (like, for instance, I've mentioned) in the vanilla version? Polished, with consistent graphics and balanced?
Thank you very much.
Looking forward for the next content release - will definitely buy the game then.
