This is probably not the most helpful of posts, more like an FYI, since I induced two demolishers to collide and was just left with a feeling of "Hey, that's um... wrong?" I'll let this image speak for itself.
I honestly don't know what to expect when two hulking behemoths collide or are on a collision course, just maybe not this.

Re: Demolisher collision
If I had encountered this, it would have broken my immersion as fuck. Disgusting.
I'd report this as a bug. Too bad problems like this have very low priority.

Re: Demolisher collision
I did this hoping that one would kill the other. I figured they would have some kind of mechanism to fight each other because they are supposedly territorial.

Re: Demolisher collision
I already suggested something in this direction. But it is not really a bug, it's simply not intended to work differently. The demolishers won't stop on their territory border, nor fight each other, and they simply cross even their own bodies. I would be glad if there would be further a safe "neutral zone" between the territories, so I can safely place radar stations and see what's going on...
Re: Demolisher collision
Is there a mod that can change the collision behavior of the Demolisher?

Re: Demolisher collision
Demolishers apparently do not respect normal Collisions at all - it is sort of in the name. They will even path right through the edge of the map without noticing - similar to this case it looks a bit weird, but it works fine.
The sprite layering is pretty good as-is - it almost looks like they are crossing-over each other already. Shifting the overlapping segments up/down by a few Pixels might improve the believability that they are going over/under, without having to add collision detection to the Pathing.

You can pretend they are "Hugging" if you want.Wases1997 wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 3:52 am Is there a mod that can change the collision behavior of the Demolisher
