bots slow down behind the player

I've noticed since space age dropped the logistic bots even when they are more than fast enough catch up to the player while moving seem to slow down just short and lag behind the player and force you to stop to receive said item. I don't remember this being an issue before space age I don't even know if this is a bug or not.

Are they just trying to charge up and go sleep into your inventory?
How many robots+personal roboports do you have?
