Just for glossary purposes, I'm calling the trips between planets on the space map "routes", so Nauvis - Vulcanus is one route. Thus, Vulcanus - Fulgora is not a route, as it requires two routes: Vulcanus - Nauvis, then Nauvis - Fulgora. For the purposes of discussion, this difference is important.
The problem occurs when a single trip (e.g. Vulcanus - Fulgora) contains two or more routes. When the user is in remote view, and the space platform changes from one route to another, this information is not updated in the UI. Only once the user quits remote view or the space platform arrives at its final destination, does it update. Keeping the tooltip open whilst this happen also ensures the tooltip itself is not updated (although the progress bar is).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a space platform over Vulcanus.
2. Set its destination to Fulgora.
3. Stay in remote view.
4. Observe when it passes Nauvis, that in the overview it stays at Vulcanus - Nauvis, even though when hovering it, it is clearly on Nauvis - Fulgora.
5. Bonus: Keep the tooltip open while this happen, and notice it not changing there either until you close and re-open the tooltip.

Re: UI space platform list does not update when platform moves to a later route
I should have noted I am running 2.0.24. And I notice now that the patch notes suggest that this has been fixed.
I guess, it hasn't?Fixed Space platform position indicator not updating in some cases.

Post a save that shows the issue please.
Re: UI space platform list does not update when platform moves to a later route
I ended up creating this as a scenario in the editor. Tested in 2.0.24.
1. Open the scenario.
2. Switch to the space platform called TESTER.
3. Set a destination for Fulgora.
4. Run the scenario.
5. Stay in remote view.
6. Notice that the icon on the platform overview does not change as it passes Nauvis.
