When you place an item as a blueprint, you can now edit the properties of the item before it is actually placed. However, the moment the item is actually placed, anything you were editing about that item is reset and in some cases the window is closed.
For example, placing an assembling machine (or EMP, etc.) using shift+click will place a blueprint of that machine which you can then edit by selecting a recipe and quality of that recipe. When the bot places the machine it will keep the window open and remember the tab you were on, but the item you selected and the quality are reset.
Further, when changing the filter in a blueprinted inserter or splitter, the window for selecting the filter is closed but the main window for the inserter stays open.
Lastly, the position of the window is also reset when the item is placed.
These things are only minor annoyances but they happen quite frequently when you work in remote view.
Perhaps this is intended behaviour, since I would guess the blueprinted item counts as a seperate entity, but since the window to interact with the item stays open (or is reopened behind the scenes), I suspect the intention is to smoothly go from the blueprint window to the real window, in which case what the player was doing should be carried over. If the bahaviour is intended please regard this as a feature suggestion instead of a bug report.
