[2.0.9] Deconstruct order forgotten on autosave

Post by Brambor »

1. Be in the process of dragging your mouse to select an area for deconstruction
2. "Autosaving" pops up
3. Let go of LMB
4. Autosaving finishes
5. Nothing gets marked for deconstruction and the deconstruction selection is lost.

Expected: Clicks release LMB during autosave will work. With the right mouse coordinates too.

It is in the game for a long time.

Thanks for the report however I can not reproduce this. When I test this, it works perfectly. Can you please make a video showing it in case there's something that I'm missing?

My mistake. I must have been releasing it before the save ran or something.

Looking at the game logic, 9 years ago this was specifically programmed in to cancel blueprint creation or deconstruction if the mouse is released during auto-save. So, this is working as intended. I'm going to move this to ideas and suggestions to see if there are enough people wanting to change the behavior again.

Also, building something with LMB, it registers the mouse position after the autosave. This means I:

1. point
2. autosave starts
3. click (I want to register mouse pos now)!
4. move mouse away
5. autosave ends
6. mouse coords are registered
7. building built at wrong spot

And the building is built on the wrong spot!

And shift clicking (build ghost of a substation over a tree)

1. hold shift
2. autosave starts
3. click
4. release shift
5. autosave ends
6. nothing is build: "Tree is in the way"

I would expect the shift release to happen after the click, not before it

Also, on autosave, the parameter menu cancels. No input needed.

Could I get hidden settings for it?

It not only happens when autosave is triggered but when the game lags.
