Too bad I can't use my Mods with Space Age game forces me to disable all mods in order to play from load.

NVM I think I solved it, but I couldn't find how to delete the post completely.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask - is there a way to disable the wave-y graphics of the new ghosts? I have an older CPU with integrated graphics and it really lags the game even when pasting a smaller blueprint. In the past I could run megabases on this. I assume - but not sure - that this is due to the wave in the ghosts.

Hi! I'd like to thank you for a great dlc, it's truly awesome:) I have hundreds of hours in the game (still rookie numbers, I know) and I love the idea behind the expansion very much. I just don't like the vanilla being trivialized in 2.0. Cheap rockets in the expansion are great, because sending rockets there is not a goal, it's just a tool. I feel like the vanilla with it's goal being now a lot easier to achieve is not a fun challenge any more. Could you consider introducing back old tech tree just for vanilla game, or maybe call it "classic" as a separate mode of vanilla? I'm now feeling like I've lost my old time favorite game experience. I know I could downgrade the application, but then I'd give up on great quality of life features that you introduced, or mod it back somehow, but this would feel just not right.

Nevertheless I'm grateful for your effort and I really like the DLC stuff, your work is truly a piece of art:)

you can disable the space-age mod to get the "classic" mode back and keep the QOL ;)

I tried this on a version without bought space age expansion, and the vanilla had a lot cheaper rockets, silos and necessary technologies

Ich habe nun schon seit Beginn gespielt. Die Verbesserungen und Features im Early Game sind genau nach meinem Geschmack. Gratuliere dem fantastischen Team!

I've been playing since the very beginning. The improvements and early-game features are exactly to my taste. Congratulations to the fantastic team!

I, on the other hand, enjoy exactly that. The tech tree has become much more logical and varied. The first steps also feel more realistic. The early game is now also a game, not just the work you have to do before you can get started. It is important that it now takes more time to overcome the first hurdles.
I don't have any rockets yet because I chose a cost factor of x10 so that I can slowly try out everything new

Ich hingegen geniesse genau das. Der Techtree wurde wesentlich logischer und Variantenreicher. Zudem fühlen sich die ersten Schritte realitischer an. Early Spiel ist nun auch ein Game, nicht nur die Muss Arbeit bis man loslegen kann. Da ist es wichtig, dass es nun mehr Zeit braucht bis man die ersten Hürden hinter sich gelassen hat.
Ich habe noch keine Raketen, da ich den Kostenfaktor x10 gewählt habe um langsam alles neue auszuprobieren

If they are new to the game, you should make them play without any expansion packs (or mods) anyway.

Landing pads didn't exist before SA in vanilla, so this might be more specific to a mod issue, specifically Space Exploration ?
(You can't expect the mods to be balanced or even all be working at all on major version release - especially without an experimental version before, and SA is very major.)

Yeah, it shows player-hours rather than unique players, and still I expect it to be much more than triple, depending on how narrowly that peak is calculated. Consider how Factorio has 30-50 times more owners than what this peak shows.

Yes that means that the account you're logged into factorio.com with doesn't own space age. Please message support@factorio.com if you bought the base game twice. Ok, thanks for the clarification. But I did use this link https://www.factorio.com/buy-space-age to buy the DLC, and got the humble code and added in my Factorio profile. So I thought I had bought the DLC, not sure how I bought the base game twice, also didn't know you could buy it twice and add it to your Factorio account when you already owned it.

I've already emailed support a couple of hours ago, I guess there's a backlog? so just waiting.

edit: I've just searched for Factorio on humble and the expansion is listed separately from the base game, but my list of games only shows the base game.

Also when I saw the 'buy space age' link on Factorio.com and bought the game this was just before the official release announcement, and then briefly the link disappeared until a little time after the announcement. Is it possible that when the link first went up it linked to the base game and not the DLC, that's why it disappeared for a bit then came back after someone fixed it? just my guess.
There's a potential confusion here : Humble Bundle is only acting as one of the middlemen for payment.
You do NOT need to be logged in to Humble Bundle to buy Factorio from Wube's website.
And in fact I would expect that if you did do that, you would NOT have Factorio in your list of Humble Bundle games ?
(It might be possible to redeem Factorio (and SA) from actually Humble Bundle through the HB => Steam => Factorio Website route ?)

Have you tried changed their version ?
(Unzip the mod - be careful it's not two folders deep - change "factorio_version": in info.json to 2.0. No need to zip again, the folder version has priority.)
A lot of mods tend to work straight out of the box even across major versions.
(And even more only need minor fixes other than version change that even someone that isn't the developer of that mod can do.)

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I have no mods installed.
Landing pads didn't exist in vanilla, but with the vanilla update on 2.0, they got introduced, even if you didn't buy the dlc. So now without having bought the DLC, there are landing pads in vanilla, which are limited to 1 per planet (so 1 per game, as there are no other planets in vanilla).
You have all the disadvantages from the landing pad (max 1) without any advantages (as you would have to buy the dlc to really use the pads).

That's not true, when you play 2.0 without Space Age enabled there are huge changes to the game. What I noticed so far:
- You get sattelites for free with the Rocket silo, no more 2K (or 8K! on Marathon) Space science research
- No more Rocket control units
- Having Space science packs come from the landing pad, of which you can have only one on the map, instead of the Rocket silo is a huge change
- No more Marathon and Death World Marathon difficulties because expensive recipes are removed entirely (See my thread about this viewtopic.php?f=5&t=115745)

I don't really understand why you changed the Vanilla game so much in 2.0. Like you wanted some parity with Space Age but that is a mod and there is not really parity anyway because with it enabled it's all completely different again.

Guys, check, why concrete tech unlocks Iron stick recipe, if it's already unlocked? A BUG?

I don't think this is a bug. Several technologies unlock iron stick recipe. And the game cannot know which of those you research first.

I feel the same way. There are just too many significant changes to the original gameplay, even if you haven't purchased Space Age. I thought it was said that any major changes in the free 2.0 patch would be optional, but this doesn't seem to be the case. I would love to have the basic QoL features in the 2.0 patch (improvements to bots, trains, controls etc.) but not the major changes to the fluid system, changes to recipes like RCUs and rockets, etc. so currently I'm sticking with 1.1 via the Steam beta options.

Congratulations, great job. I'm glad you didn't ruin what factorio is and just added a lot of fun to it :D . The only drawback of this add-on is the fact that you had to wait so long for its release
