Server starts lagging horribly (FPS and UPS) when a player gets killed

Post by WakanaYuki »

I am playing with 2 friends on a multiplayer server. We recently ran into the issue that when a player is supposed to die, they keep staying alive. Which is annoying but manageable. The Problem is that as soon as the HP of any player drops to 0 the Server starts lagging like crazy and it doesn't stop until the player is not being attacked anymore/not getting any more damage.

We play with a few mods, but I am unsure which one could even cause this. This is also just happened, we were fine a few days ago and were able to die, but something like a research maybe or something else now causes the server to lag horribly.

We are also facing the issue that the server once died during such a lag and we since have a lot of desync issues when trying to join, often needing multiple attempts.

Sounds like one of the mods you're using is doing some tasks during an on killed event and is creating a loop condition.

Suggest disabling your mods half at a time and see if the issue goes away or stays. Then disable/re-enable half at a time until you find the one that does it.

There might also be some useful info in the log file.
