[1.1.32] Crash on start, boring log

Context
Has been happening for the last few days out of nowhere. Not sure what started it. Reinstalled the game twice, deleted old saves, restarted computer after updating which solved it for a day but it's back again.
Steps to reproduce crash:
1) load steam
2) launch factorio
3) wait for factorio window to open
4) crash completed

Computer specs:
Macbook (Retina, 12 inch, early 2016)
Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz LPDDR3
Processor: 1.2 GHz Dual-Core m5
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 515 1536 MB

Download and try if the non-steam version from factorio.com works.

Can you open Factorio properties in Steam Library and set launch options to

Then start the game on Steam and when the crash happens, there should be macOS dialog with detailed crash report, or maybe you could open Application -> Utilities -> Console in macOS, search for "factorio" and see if there are any more detailed crash logs, please?

Sure! I disabled the crash handler and got the more detailed report from the console. Hopefully this helps. I've noticed however that the game has four different crash types that happen. Either it crashed the second I open the application, or it crashes when I want to load anything or when I change some of the settings. Because sometimes it'll work but then not go all the way. Like, it will start loading the file but too quickly compared to normal and then at the end it'll "dump" all the sounds into the gama and my whole computer will shit itself and will need a manual restart. Pretty rare for it to laod the main menu tho so I don't have a crash report of that one attached, instead the main one that happens at the start. If you need anything else feel free to ask!

I also have this issue. The game was running poorly on my 2016 MacBook as well (literally the exact same specs as OP), and after turning the graphics all the way down, I also selected "launch in full screen." After I checked that option, the game crashed and now fails to load. I will launch the game on Steam, then it'll bring me to a black screen (full screen mode of Factorio), then crash.

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro that has substantially better specs. It also only (barely) runs on the lowest graphics settings but I have yet to try the "launch in full screen mode" option on there out of fear that it'll crash on that computer as well. Happy to attach the logs if that helps.
