[kovarex] [0.18.38] Modded Power Armor grid tiny with 1366x768 and 100% UI size
Hi, I encountered a bug with the mod Krastorio 2, V0.18, with my 1366x768 resolution monitor, using UI size of 100%. I cannot view my entire armor grid, it's a small rectangle few pixels high (I can still scroll through).
Without the mod, the base game UI display 2 columns: one for "Armor" stats, and one for "Equipment grid" Stats. But with Krastorio 2 mod active, everything is displayed in the same column, and there is no space left for the equipment grid.

The GUI is designed for 1920×1080 px screens or larger. If your screen is smaller, you're supposed to use a lower UI scale.
That said, there is a bit of space at the bottom, so I'll see if I can move the description to the bottom to show a little bit more of the grid. But no matter what, at that screen size, the GUI will be cramped at 100% UI scale because that's how it's designed to be.

Could the power armor screen perhaps get a scrollbar if insufficient screen space to display the entire thing at once?Oxyd wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 11:26 pm The GUI is designed for 1920×1080 px screens or larger. If your screen is smaller, you're supposed to use a lower UI scale.

This grid starts out a reasonable size, but when you place a personal roboport into it that's when it resizes and becomes tiny.
It's not a scale problem; there's an actual bug here.

The roboport adds text information to the bottom panel. And for some reason the information is not presented in two separate columns in your game, which it is at 1080p.

Same problem occurring here. Default resolution for my 19" monitor, 1920x1080. There's a giant amount of grey at the bottom of the inventory window that's completely blank, so it's not a "run out of space on screen" problem. It's a "UI not working right" problem.
My Factorio is not modded, version 1.0.

Your screenshot looks like you are using a UI scale of more than 100%. I am pretty sure that the fonts and the windows don't scale exactly by the same factor, which results in these kinds of weird issues: If the description text for the equipment no longer fits as two columns, they will display in one column, eating away at the displayed equipment grid.J-H wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 9:44 pm Same problem occurring here. [edit] Adjust UI scale: Settings → Interface → UI scale

For quick resizing:
Ctrl + Numpad "+" -> Increase UI size
Ctrl + Numpad "-" -> Decrease UI size
Ctrl + Numpad "0" -> Reset to default size
Ctrl + Numpad "+" -> Increase UI size
Ctrl + Numpad "-" -> Decrease UI size
Ctrl + Numpad "0" -> Reset to default size

I believe I do have it at a larger font. The default font is too small to read comfortably. I have larger font display defaults on everything including Windows.
Should I resubmit as a separate bug related to font size?

Vanilla 1.0.0 Factorio:
1080p
Going anywhere above 100% in UI scale results in grid getting a scroll bar (which is good feature, there are modded huge grids).
This does not seem to be an issue at first, but becomes apparent at 150% UI scale at 1080p.
One might argue "dont use bigger UI scale",
However one might also argue "what is the point to have so much space for the text underneath the grid and leave no space for grid itself"
Solution would be to also add scroll bar for the text that is underneath the grid, althought I do not know how big of a pain UI is in Factorio.
(examples with 150% and 125% UI scale)
(I am using bigger scales due to eye strain/accessibility, not because I want to break UI and cause pain for devs)
