occasionally when [shift] placing blueprints over existing power poles it disconnects the wires from the poles.
after placing blueprint[1.0.0] blueprint breaks power lines
Re: [1.0.0] blueprint breaks power lines
Shift+click on a power pole is a shortcut to disconnect all copper wires from that power pole. Shift+click a second time to also disconnect all signal wires.
Maybe the game sometimes registers this shortcut instead of force-placing the blueprint?

Re: [1.0.0] blueprint breaks power lines
Not only sometimes. It's always happening if I need to shift build a blueprint and the mouse is hovering over a power pole. (grid based rails etc.)
Decon the pole first solves it temporarily.

You might be able to change the keybinding for one of the functions.
Re: [1.0.0] blueprint breaks power lines
Well, lot of functions are disabled when holding a blueprint, and this one should probably be among them.

Actually, it is a duplicate of a bug I just fixed: 87695
