[0.18.37] Cannot empty a blueprint

Post by Muki »

Hello,

Since the update, on my current game (modded) I cannot empty a blueprint by shift+right click. Nothing happens.
When right click to update the BP, empty it from the GUI and save, my inventory opens and the BP is not changed.

I'm heavily modded but I only updated Factorio.
The 0.18.38 did not change the problem.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Thanks

Thanks for the report. It is a feature.

Shift+right click to clear blueprint is no longer a thing, you can open blueprint and press the trash icon. Only remaining use of Shift+right click is to destroy already empty blueprint since it cannot be opened.

thanks for the quick reply.

I just checked since the last update, and my bad, now emptying the BP works from the GUI...

That's a bummer :(
I used to have a BP in the hotbar and just quicly empty it to reuse it for small fixes or update (quickly extend a line or stuff like that).
Now having to open the GUI to empty the BP, that's just not cool :)

I hope this will be back as an option :)

For small fixes there is a Copy(Ctrl+C) or Cut(Ctrl+X) tool: you press Ctrl+C/X, select stuff and you have a temporary blueprint in hand. Clearing cursor will get rid of it but you may keep the blueprint by placing it somewhere.

Please bring back the clear blueprint functionality, updating an existing blueprint is so much less intuitive now :/

addendum: shift and left click also now seems to destroy the blueprint, even though that's not in the tooltip :?

that!

i always have got an upgrade planner and a deconstruction planner in the hotbar... sometimes i used to set filters, then later if i don't need those filters anymore, i just shift+right klicked it to reset all filters. also many of my friends do so. but this aint gonna work anymore... Please make it work again

(sorry for bad english skills)

I agree with the decon and upgrade planner, I used to use it constantly. Now gotta keep changing the filters on each every time I use it. Lazy annoyance lol.
