[0.17.14] Blueprint not snapping in single grid steps
I made a blueprint for a train unloading station that I found somewhere (string see below), then I put down a train stop and tried to align the chests in the blueprint with the cargo wagon placeholders from the train stop. I was not able to align the blueprint chests with the placeholders of the cardo wagons, because the blueprint always went two "steps" (smallest grid cell) left or right, instead of one. I tried aligning it by mouse or by keyboard (by walking left or right).

Blueprints with rails always snap to the rail grid, which is 2×2 units.

Your blueprint contains rails that have to be aligned to a 2x2 grid, so the entire blueprint can only be moved in 2 tile steps.

Thanks for the reply. Do trainstations not align with the rail grid as well and shouldnt it then match the unloading spots from the train wagon?

They do. Without seeing this in action I can only guess what's going on, but one thing to be aware of is that train cars are 6 tiles long, with one tile between them, for a total length of 7. That means every other (un)loading spot must be offset by one. The easiest way to solve this is just to remove the actual rails from your (un)loader blueprint so you can put it exactly where you need it. Or you could do the opposite and have the entire station, inserters and everything all in one blueprint. Hi, thanks for that suggestion, however removing the rails from the blueprint did not work, it still snapped to the train grid. If you really want, you can test it, I attached my save file and the blueprint in question ;p My workaround was then just to copy an existing unloader, I just posted this because I thought it was a bug and it would be nice to have it fixed.

As you didn't post your blueprint strings I can't tell you for certain, but my gut says you didn't take the train signal out when you tried to remove the rails.
