Re: Factorio need IRL Stuff (Merchandise).
I would love to have a big cardboard printed box that would hold the game (I know it's a digital game, but still).
Like those old school classic big box games, so that it would fit on my shelf between my classic game collection.
Stuffed with factorio goodies, like cheatsheets, decals, stickers and all that stuff.
Hell, I'd design it, have it developed professionally if the developers would ask me to.

Blender can produce a paper cut version of a model that you then fold and glue together. I bet it can also have the right textures on that flat version. Should make it quite easy to make a big cardboard printed box of an assembler.Indypendence wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 11:12 pm I would love to have a big cardboard printed box that would hold the game (I know it's a digital game, but still).

Biter plushies
Imagine this, the animals that ravage your base can lavish up your house. An adorable plushie variant of the bite and spiters, that can be bought straight off of the Factorio website and shipped directly to your house, who wouldn't want to buy one?
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

Plushies please...
Nuclear reactor night light too. This can be 3D printed then add your LED lamp inside.

I don't know if there are other concerns around it, but in theory, for printed merchandise, creating an official Wube account on DeviantArt, or Redbubble, or Shapeways, or CafePress, and uploading images/STL files with the correct privileges would allow people to order their own t-shirts, mugs, stickers, mousepads, etc. and give Wube a cut of the profits. Possibly not as much of a cut as if you sold your own merch, but, to the best of my knowledge, with only the overhead of actually uploading and appropriately marking content.

Mugs, more shirts, key chains, hoodie, mouse pad? I'd literally buy all of them
