The suggestion is some kind of bridge / platform to walk over pipes. For example:
But you can just tunnel under everything I hear you saying. Well that's true and that seems to be the norm, but when I see somebody else's network it takes ages to figure out how it works because everything is underground except the bends. This way you could layout your network above ground, while not obstructing the players movement.

this is one easy thing to do because they can just add a pipe that looks like that, then have it not have a collision or something Atleast i'm sure the devs have already looked into that.

That would be nice. Most people have no problem with belts running everywhere (because they don't obstruct movement), but they tend to go for as many underground pipes as possible. And to be honest, it just looks silly. I thought about a design with above ground pipes with the exception of some ways through the maze here and there. This would help a lot though.
