Factorio Server PORTS

Post by akadawa »

I hosted a Factorio Server with my Windows Server 2016 Machine. The server machine is behind a Router and i configured the router portforwarding for Factorio with the port 34197 with UDP protocol.
No my problem, i can connect normally with my domain name or with my public ip adress, the server will be listed in the Public game list, but i cant connect.

i got displayed in the CMD:

Code: Select all

since you running on windows server, make sure, there is exception in windows firewall for incoming connection on appropriate port, or better yet, add exception for factorio.exe into your firewall, that way even if you change listening port, it will accept connection.

make sure, you allow incoming connection at least for UDP protocol (tho' i have enabled both)

i have created 2 rules in inbound
see here for TCP one, UDP is just with protocol set to UDP
