Description:

• Belt combinators read the contents of a network of conveyor belts and provide them to a circuit network.

LONG DESCRIPTION

This mod adds one new item, the belt combinator. Place the combinator adjacent to a belt and any items "downstream" from the combinator will be tallied and provided to the circuit network. Belts pointing away from the combinator will count both lanes, belts running alongside the combinator will count just one lane. Either way, the counting will follow the normal path of items through the belt network, which means following just one lane after side loading, both lanes after mixing, etc.

Notice that half the copper ore, going the wrong direction, isn't counted. The iron ore isn't counted, it's on the wrong side of the belt. The northeast four iron plates aren't counted because there's no way they could have gotten there from the combinator. The rear-most steel plates aren't counted because they are behind the point where the belt touches the combinator, which only looks forward.

The belt-combinator shows the right belt items, however i cannot connect any wire to it and i cannot use it in my circuit network.
Am i doing it the wrong way?
Is there another way to do it?

I see that it extends the constant-combinator. I can connect a wire to constant-combinator, but i cannot connect a wire to the belt-combinator. Help!

I fixed it!

was missing in the belt-combinator.lua .

Please add it in there to fix this issue!

Wow, thanks. No idea how that line disappeared. Fixed.

Took a lot of the lessons I learned over in the Belt Overflow mod and reworked some of this one. Fixed a few bugs.

Current TODO here is to make this mod run a lot faster. I hope to hear from someone using it in a big factory to let me know if/where the slowdowns are.

I've been taking a break. I meant to play when 0.13 came out, but if 0.14 is coming in less-than-a-year then I might wait for that.
