Getting water to oil facilities is a MAJOR hassle. Thanks for removing this annoyance in a very believable way!

here is v1.0.6 : it changes the inner water flow recipe to smoothen the water production, have a larger water output buffer and be less CPU demanding. The max flow of 100 water/s remains the same.

So, the working hasn't changed. It's just less of a drag on the game?

The average water output flow is the same, but there is a bigger output buffer (from 1 fluid to 100 fluid), so that if your consumption is not very regular, the well will follow it more efficiently. I noticed this "under-efficiency" on a coal power plant working at full rate : theorically 100/s should have been sufficient, but infact the power plant did not receive enough water. With this workaround, it is now working correctly.

So I advice you to update. ;)

I've made czech translation for my own use, you can add it to your mod if you want to :-)

I'm using version 1.0.7 but I've noticed that if you place a water well as part of a blueprint, the water well doesn't work because you have to choose a recipe.

Same.

I'm using fusion power mod at the moment as a substitute. It has a recipe for chemical plant that gives water without any ingredients. The research is expensive though, 200 of each science pack. But if you've come far enough that it is not a problem then it is excellent.

Strange. I just made the test and for me it work. Robots place the waterwell (and a storage tank) and it flows.
There is no reason it won't work. The fixed recipe is part of the entity in its defintion.
There might be an incompatibilty with another mod that modifies recipes or assembly machines (my water well is
an hidden assembly machine). Please give a list of the mods you are both using, and maybe
we'll find the reason.
