I haven't played Factorio since 11.x something or other, but I felt like playing again, so I updated the game, updated my mods, removed outdated ones, and started a new game.
Only thing is, I started with a burner drill, a stone furnace, and a loaded gun. Has the game always given you this from the start? I thought you started with absolutely nothing. Either way, can someone point me to a mod that starts you with nothing? I feel like that's the best way to start Factorio.
Out of the Loop on Starting Conditions for a New Game

Pick up items out of your inventory, drop on ground (Z key), walk away. You now have nothing.

Just to answer this part, I have always kknown Factorio like that (which was before 0.10.0 came out iirc).MiniMe943 wrote:Has the game always given you this from the start?

That's so bizzare, I could've sworn I could remember starting a game before with nothing. Must just be remembering things wrong.Koub wrote:Just to answer this part, I have always kknown Factorio like that (which was before 0.10.0 came out iirc).MiniMe943 wrote:Has the game always given you this from the start?

IIRC in the early days of multiplayer games --create'd from the command line didn't contain the right control.lua so people were starting without any items in their inventory.MiniMe943 wrote:That's so bizzare, I could've sworn I could remember starting a game before with nothing. Singleplayer casual here, it wasn't that. Although that's an interesting bug.prg wrote:IIRC in the early days of multiplayer games --create'd from the command line didn't contain the right control.lua so people were starting without any items in their inventory.MiniMe943 wrote:That's so bizzare, I could've sworn I could remember starting a game before with nothing. The first campaign mission starts you with nothing, maybe that's what you're remembering.MiniMe943 wrote:That's so bizzare, I could've sworn I could remember starting a game before with nothing.
