Version 0.12.24

Post by FactorioBot »

Use the automatic updater if you can (check experimental updates in other settings) or download full installation at http://www.factorio.com/download/experimental.

Woah, another one!

Also, where can I find the scenarios? 0.12.23 says it's in the base game now, but it wasn't there when I downloaded the update.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's under campaigns.

It was, just not included (edit: fully) in the changelog due to some reasons that aren't really interesting :)

It is included in the changelog, just the topic link is missing:

Just wondering is the bot down for maintenance?

No, I had to post the changelog manually and I was too lazy to switch to the FactorioBot account.

Thanks for the bugfix! that was sooo fast!

What was the issue with the super long belts then? I assume it must have been simple for it to be so quickly fixed? Either that or your programmer guy is amazing. actually lets just assume both.

Recursion stack overflow :) belt1 gets changed which calls the next-in-series belt2 which updates and calls next-in-series and so on. Too many at a time and the stack overflows.

edit: Now that I pay attention you removed the duplicate campaigns

edit2: I did not know if I report it as a bug, so I put it as a suggestion.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20387&p=128609

I see you have not changed it yet, I will call attention to them about it.

I thought the same and actually made a bug report: [0.12.23] False automatic update for scenario pack listed

Turns out that updating to this 999.999.999 version deletes the scenario pack if you already had it as it is included in the 0.12.23+ anyway. This is the fix for duplicate scenario entries and completely intended by the devs, although it would not be so confusing if they had labeled it 0.12.23 :)

tl;dr If you press 'Update now' on that screen it will fix the double scenarios bug and use the 0.12.23+ included scenarios from now on.

Can you change this one to make it sound like it's mngrif calling Malachite a pitiful excuse for an engineer? 'cause I wouldn't want to get in hot heavy water being the author of such slander.

You do both know that that's not how 'being lazy' works ;p

Given that the stack should be several Megabytes in size, how long does the belt have to be for this overflow to occur?

How did you fix it? By iteration, tail calls or something else?
