First off some general information:
I have seen many similar problems on the boards but have not found a solution that helped me personally.
I have this problem when hosting a public multiplayer game both with or without mods and the factorio version i am running does not seem to matter.
I am on a laptop and this problem does not occur when im in my student room (diffrent router). I didnt need any complications for it to work there.
I set up portforwarding as seen in a forum post with portmapper and the ports were created fine but I still kept on getting the same errors so I decided to go a step further and made it so that when I connect via cable I am a DMZ host.
I have my windows firewall turned off entirely + I do not run any kind of antivirus/firewall software.
I am able to join some, but not all multiplayer games. I am unable to join my friends but we could play together in a random server.
When I host a multiplayer game my friends can see the multiplayer game in the game browser but are unable to connect to it.
When my friends host the same thing happens to me; I see their game but cannot connect.
We have tried to connect via LAN (using Hamachi or Tunngle) but I rarely get a direct tunnel to every friend at the same time (everyone's windows firewall is OFF). This is why I'm trying to get this to work via the multipayer hosting. When using LAN solutions it was usually me not being able to connect to for example 2 (A & B) friends out of 4 (A B C D) while these 2 (A & B) would have a direct tunnel to everyone except for me so that is why we think that I am the one who should be able to fix the problem. We have not been able to find a reliable solution to these situations.
I'm from Belgium, my ISP is called 'Proximus' and my router model is called 'bbox-3'

This whole thing is driving me mad because i cant solve it and im hoping that maybe you could give me advice in solving this problem.
