Features
  • Added dropdown to the replay viewing control that allows to switch between the view of different players.

  • Fixed, that when the server is slower then the client, the player input is stuck. (48387)
  • Fixed that using rail by the rail planner stopped replay. (58933)
  • Fixed that burner inserter didn't show fuel in the entity info. (58876)
  • Fixed that blueprint manipulation was broken in replays. (even opening the gui crashed the game) (58870)
  • Fixed PvP script error when 'DEFCON timer' was set too low. (58855)
  • Fixed that ctrl-click to transfer modules into assembling machines didn't work correctly. (58896)
  • Small improvement in mining logic when using rail planner. (58483)
  • Fixed an issue with un-researching upgrade-based technologies. (58885)
  • Fixed a layering issue related to the train stop visualization. (58857)
  • Fixed that player joined/left game messages weren't visible in the replay.
  • Fixed that health bar of other players weren't visible.
  • Fixed a rare crash when joining multiplayer games on Mac.
  • Fixed crash when player with debuff sticker disconnected from game and later reconnected.
Modding
  • Added recipe-prototype allow_intermediates.
Scripting
  • Added events and remote interface to PvP scenario.
  • Added LuaRecipePrototype::allow_intermediates read.

It won't be done in a minor 0.16 update, it might happen in 0.17

Aww man, i was assuming it was minor enough to be in the plans somewhere for 0.16.XX

AFAIK map generation tends to be updated only in major releases. What if 0.17 was dedicated to map generation update, so each 0.17.x version can improve it?

The supposed update was about tweaking the recipes, not the way map works (The part in FFF about mapgen has been already done in 0.16). Thats why i assumed the recipe tweaking part was also coming in 0.16 and was just a matter of pestering the devs about it.

But oh well, i hope it comes soon enough, and along with the new improvements to mapgen in 0.17
