I had to reinstall my laptop (due to repairs where they flashed a factory image onto my laptop), and after reinstalling factorio I noticed that all my local blueprints were gone.
I tried the same thing with my desktop, but it didn't sync to my laptop either.

Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way that steam blueprint storage is not sync'ed over steam. Had to ship my laptop in for repairs, and tadaaa! Gone are all the blueprints

The only bad thing about world snapshots is the additional latency.
Not only that. The whole world snapshot would be the whole save. How are you going to send the whole world save (which can get over 20MB even on normal size bases, let alone mega bases) within fractions of a second (fast enough ...

Actually, you can (for a tiny amount of time) see it in the chatlog of the game if you're looking. But yeah, no box or anything telling you what happened.

When an admin kicks a player and denotes a reason, all the chatlog says is
Reproducible by going into multiplayer game and just kicking yourself with a reason.

I can't seem to join any server (including yours)... I'm getting a " server not responding" right after I try to join. I used to be able to connect to your server fine with 0.12.X

There probably won't be a whole lot of mods when the new 0.13 fresh start is here as all the mods need to be updated as well (otherwise we'll see A LOT of desyncs and errors).

What's weird about it though is that he claims this problems doesn't appear to be the case on the non-steam client.
Is there any hook between steam and the factorio client? Because I don't believe that could really affect performance much, now could it?

This server seems to be much slower though. Download speed for me was only 200kB/s.

Some people on the server are trying to claim I'm making the server way laggy. Here's a screenshot of me testing my ping to the server to prove otherwise.
Your upload speed is probably not high enough, which will cause ping spikes while playing (those won't show up in your average CMD pingtest ...

For me it's consistently ~350kB/s and I have a 300Mb/s down 30Mb/s up connection.
Also the player by the name bodom is trying to reconnect over and over, but he's making the server lagg.

Map download speeds today are ~350kB/s, which takes quite a while for a 55MB map to download. Also players (Jake0126) with crazy high ping who don't understand networking and didn't want to leave the server which ruined gameplay for me.
