For the record I'm getting the popup warning about achievements every single time I'm changing versions manually using the Steam client so I don't think that's related to the other issues you're having.

Thanks a lot! This thread saved me.

I was very suprised when factorio faced me with this error:

after some time without playing. And it wouldn't even start. My Steam recently updated my selected 0.17.79 version with quite a few MBs of an update.

Long story short I couldn't make wagon to backup properly. Or rotate.

I wanted to try:
So I went ahead and tried to differ the graphics. I added red and green dots on them (128+ times) :D
But when driving I noticed that red dot always is facing south. So that is only graphic ...

With "tooltip at cursor" option
when saving game (and hovering over entity)
its tooltip after saving gets displayed at 1,1px, still under paused game dialog
(whole screen grayed, but tooltip there bright in corner)
(no screen for this one)

Will my blueprints (from library) get placed with this? Or will they remain as ghosts?

Also the point was to spread destruction, but remain as god. Fly around quickly, have no character and be invincible. Play with world.
That was kind of my idea of a sandbox.
And now I launch sandbox and cannot ...

For example:
Because when I stand for hours trying to create my circuit contraption, I want my tooltips to be displayed without delay.

And my point was that tooltips should be intelligent about that. Not to rely on any player settings.

Left and right sides (controls) are swapped when backing-up a train while sitting in any cargo.
When in locomotive this doesn't occur.

Steps to reproduce:
When sitting in a train
LCCCCC(CCC)
but i was sitting in a, lets say middle C (here its copper)
and backing up into a Y section

If the placement of tile areas is instant, shouldn't it be instant to remove them in sandbox?

I suggest that areas of tiles could be removed in one click, in sandbox mode. There may be /editor but i feel like this should be sandbox spirit.

How can I manage that armor then?
This solves nothing.
Those items appear then in my backpack. I still have no way to apply armor, then use equipment for it.

[0.18.10] Tooltips flashing when riding at high speed

When player is riding a train 270kmph its pointless to have any tooltips flashing constantly.

Best example:
Factorio Maze
some people may not care but it's ugly
but that tooltip behaviour could be smarter here.

Especially with option "tooltips at cursor".

make the rotation of the dying robot a bit slower. Looks a bit too fast. Maybe also some smoke ...

As for 0.18.1 that's:


/c game.player.print(game.get_map_exchange_string())

but since we want to copy to clipboard from console:


/c log(game.get_map_exchange_string())

and then open file
%appdata% \Factorio\factorio-current.log

also, its possible to open GUI:

that some of the books in inventory are not actual books, merely "shortcuts", while others are actual books, and there's no apparent way to tell the difference.
And, deleting a shortcut instantly deletes the actual book in the library as well, without confirmation.
