Noticed a minor conflict with picker extended.
A while back you fixed a bug that caused a leftover sprite from tailings ponds to remain even after the pond was removed, however it seems that bug is back if picker extended is active.
When I removed picker extended, I get the message:

With how often the steam question comes up, I even got confused myself the first time I encountered it, it may be worth renaming it something like "Mild Steam" or "Residual Steam" assuming that doing so doesn't involve a massive amount of coding.

Came to post with this exact suggestion, surprised this topic hasn't had more attention.

Noticed Methanol Processing 2 doesn't seem to require Methanol Processing 1 to be researched first. Pretty sure it never used to be like that.

Just tried it out, seemed to work. Speedy hand craft recipe that couldn't be used by assemblers. Not super fast due to the number of cables you need to craft first, but much better than before.

After seeing chrisdec's circuit setup, I became curious about what it would take to have the same output with the complex recipe, since my base only has a basic circuit setup (mostly just enough to get things going) I put the numbers into helmod to see what it said:

I admire how tidy your setups are, I've been telling myself: "Right.. I'll throw together this temporary arrangement just to get things going and built a proper one later." Now my base is a nightmare and I haven't even started on science pack 3 yet.

Thanks, will take that into consideration. Another thing is some of the ingredients for the comolex recipe will be needed in another advanced recipes, so if you gonna need to make chains for them. Why not use the complex recipe too?

Complex Recipe:
