Currently, the only way to do this is to hold a lightening rod in your hand, keeping it away from the currently covered areas and run around the entire island looking for places that aren't blue.

I've had that myself even when playing around in creative.
But it's not all inserters, only those that are pulling from the space hub? I mean, no other place on a platform would really need manual whitelisting?

tl;dr
After cutting a rail signal with Ctrl-X, it doesn't rotate to fit the track when placed.
What I did
I used Ctrl-X to cut a rail signal. Then I placed it on another piece of track which was at a different angle.

Please show logistic storage count (for the planet, I'm currently viewing) when hovering over items in the crafting menu. This is a major issue for me. At least make it an option to enable <3

My suggestion would be to press ALT+Q to put the queue back to normal.
If you have queue to front enabled, then my mod will cancel all current queued recipes and try to put your new recipe to the front. Vanilla mechanics will equip any armor you have that appears back in your inventory if ...

I only seem able to add logistic request groups to the constant combinator, not logistic networks .
Sorry, what are you trying to do? Roboports can tell you the requests from their network, and constant combinators can rell you what logistic group is enabled right?

How do you do that with a constant combinator? I hook up a wire to a roboport in the target network and set it to "Read logistic network contents".

There is already remote view/map, also the space map will show you platforms that are moving.
What specific information about platforms do you find inconvenient to obtain?

Yep. Factorio space has density compared to Earth if you look at the curls of smoke coming out of thrusters. The smoke should move as fast as everything else ejected from the thrusters. And it seems they've coded this into the shape of platforms as well. So silly.
