Option to hide or minimize the minimap in map view from Platforms

What?

The minimap for platform is arguable useless, it should auto hided or at least allow one to hide it, just like it hides itself when zoom out from the map view.
Like this one:

Can't see thruster critical information when it is most important, when it is running.

When it is not moving, it does show but then it is useless

Why?

It doesn't add anything to the platform, and take way valuable space

I think it would be best to just move the pins to the left of the screen?
