I could not repeat the crash. After submitting the report I opened Factorio again, opened my save and successfully killed the demolisher on my first try and the game did not crash.

I definitely not do anything with factoriopedia intentionally during my previous cycle of save-scumming the demolisher ...

Logistic robots have long been an overpowered mechanic and I for one welcome making them a little more difficult to obtain. The fact that players are complaining that laying out a factory with belts is too hard just underscores why the change was needed.
